Challenge
Limited knowledge and visibility of sustainability actions implemented at micro and small tourism businesses without a certification. These businesses represent the majority of tourism businesses in Odense.
Solution
We visited 41 eating places and 9 bed & breakfasts across town. Mapping guest-focused sustainability actions based on the objective parameters in TripDoodlers user-rating.
A final report providing data, findings, and recommendations for the next step.
Impact
The mapping clearly showed that also micro and small businesses have sustainability actions implemented, even if they can’t flash a full-blown sustainability certification.
We increased the visibility of sustainability information from 6% of the eating places to 56% and by 100% on accommodations from 25% to 50%.
Challenge
Green Destinations wanted to learn how their delegates perceive sustainability actions at their yearly conference in Tallinn, Estonia.
Solution
Based on our set of objective parameters, sustainability actions were gamified for the delegates through QR codes and strategic communication across the event.
The tailored solution incorporated Green Destinations event certification parameters. White-label format in collaboration with My Sustain Online subscription as a thank-you token for each answer.
